NAME

lint, a linter for coins. it reads the site, not the claims.

SYNOPSIS

lint <contract address | link | website>
lint spawn --name <name> --territory <kind> --pay LINT|sol
lint order <coin> --pay LINT|sol
lint confirm --tasks
lint treasury --flow

DESCRIPTION

most coin websites are a landing page, a chart from somewhere else and a wallet button. a few run something of their own. lint finds those few and writes down what it measured. real technology is one of two things: a backend of its own that runs the product (it answers live calls, builds pages from data, handles logins or launches), or a program or contract of its own on chain. one is enough. a site that only shows data from dexscreener, an rpc or pump.fun has neither.

  • ›entry. a coin needs a website of its own. coins without one are answered right away, there is nothing to check yet.
  • ›browser. the site opens in a real headless browser. every request is recorded, sub pages are read, scripts are searched for api paths and program ids, and every api path found is probed.
  • ›chain. the addresses the page asks the chain about are looked up. standard programs (tokens, dexes, launchpads) are ignored, what remains is the project's own.
  • ›claims. burns are held against the supply, revoked authorities against the mint, a repository against github. every claim ends as evidence, no evidence, or not checkable.
  • ›review. when own technology was measured, a model reads the signals and writes the record in plain words. it may keep or lower the measured result, never raise it.

HUNTERS

a hunter is an nft in the lint hunters collection. each one reads a territory its owner picks: new solana coins, new bnb coins, what is trending, holder hints, ai, privacy, infra, games, or a list of up to 20 coins and sites that it rechecks every 7 days. the owner can change the territory any time.

every round about 600 checks are shared by all active hunters, at least 5 and at most 200 each. a new coin goes to a hunter whose territory matches and who has the most quota left. when no hunter has quota left, the network checks it itself.

a find is a check by a hunter that ends green or yellow on a project that was never listed before. finds are what the bonus pays for. a find on a coin whose deployer is linked to the hunter's owner (same wallet or the same funding) counts for nothing, it is still listed.

launching a hunter takes one signature: the transaction burns the price in $LINT (or buys it with SOL and burns it) and mints the nft to your wallet. nothing else is held for you.

waves of 100

the first wave costs $25 per hunter, every next wave 1.5x the one before ($25, $37.50, $56.25, ...). the price is paid in $LINT: the amount comes from an hourly average of the chain price or the price right now, whichever gives more tokens, so a short pump never makes a hunter cheap. when a wave is sold out, sales pause. the next wave opens when a round pays at least $0.50 per hunter. more hunters only come when the work pays for them.

the cap, 2x the stake

every hunter has a stake: the value of what was burned to launch it, in SOL at that moment. it can be credited at most 2x its stake. at the cap it stops: no checks, no credits. its owner can recharge it by burning the current wave price, which adds 2x that amount to the cap. the cap is a ceiling, not a target.

ROUNDS

rounds close at 00:00 and 12:00 utc and are settled a few minutes later, once, in one step. the owner of each hunter is read from the chain right before: whoever holds the nft at settlement gets its credits. credits go to an owed balance, and balances of at least 0.001 SOL are paid out in SOL by themselves.

the hunter pot of a round is split in two: 60% base, shared evenly by every hunter that was active when the round started, and 40% bonus, shared by the finds decided in the round by weight. a green find weighs 2, a yellow one 1. what nobody can take (no hunters, no finds, caps reached) stays in the pot for the next round.

# a worked round: a pot of 1 SOL, 20 hunters, two green finds and one yellow
base 60% of 1 = 0.6 SOL, / 20 hunters = 0.03 SOL each
bonus 40% of 1 = 0.4 SOL, / weight 5 = 0.08 SOL per weight
green 0.16 SOL, yellow 0.08 SOL
hint a green find from a hint: 0.016 SOL to the hint, 0.144 SOL to the finder

MONEY

the creator fees of $LINT are split on chain and cannot be changed. the first three parts live in a vault only the engine signs for. before every spend, the vault balance on chain must cover everything the books say it holds, or that coin stops.

35%hunters, the pot of every round
10%confirmers, for votes that agree
20%buyback and burn of $LINT, every 30 minutes
20%compute, browsers and models
15%team

every payout, buyback and burn is a transaction you can open on 3:treasury. royalties from hunter trades go to buyback and burn.

proof, a merkle root per round

every record has a hash. every round, the hashes of all records finished in it go into one merkle root, and that root is written on chain in a memo. any record page checks its own proof against that root, in your browser. nobody can change a record afterwards without breaking the root.

✓ the leaf is this record's hash
✓ the proof leads to the root of round r40873

CONFIRMERS

every find gets 3 confirm tasks for random holders of active hunters, never the finder's owner. they see the evidence and vote real or not real within 6 hours.

  • !2 not real votes deny the find and delist the record
  • ✓2 real votes confirm it, it gets the badge
  • ›anything else and the measurement stands. a find is never stuck because few people voted

votes that agree with the outcome share the confirmer pot of the round. some tasks are controls with a known answer; a wrong vote on one lowers the chance of being picked, and control votes are never paid.

hints

signed in, you can send up to 3 coins or sites a day. if a fresh record exists you get it right away, otherwise the hint goes to the hunters that read hints. if the check turns into a find, your wallet gets 10% of that find's bonus.

JOBS

a deep check on request costs $5, paid in $LINT or SOL. it skips the queue and the deeper model reads every green or yellow result. the record is yours; it is public only if the project is listed. once the record is done, the payment is burned (SOL buys $LINT first). if the site is not checkable, the check fails, or it is not done within 3 hours, you get everything back. a project checked in the last 7 days gets you that record and costs nothing.

WHAT CANNOT HAPPEN

  • ✓a project where no technology of its own was found is never listed, never shown in a feed, never screenshotted in public. those records stay private to whoever asked.
  • ✓price, chart and holders are never rated. technology only.
  • ✓returns are never promised. hunters are paid for checks and finds, from fees, and fees go up and down.
  • ✓no spend without a transaction. every lamport out is on the treasury page with its signature.

BUGS

a check sees what a website and the chain show from outside, at one moment. a backend that only wakes up after a wallet connects, or a program only a bot calls, can be missed. sites that block automated reads are marked not checkable instead of judged. projects can ask for a new check at any time. none of this is financial advice.
